All products are 70% bamboo fiber and 30% organic cotton. Bamboo fiber fabric has unparalleled advantages. Damo Momo is part of Damo & Company, and is a mother-daughter company owned by Ann and Dagmarette Yen founded in the coastal town of Laguna Beach, California.

Damo Momo was born when Dagmarette's (aka Damo) sisters became pregnant. Her sisters were disheartened about the maternity wear available in stores; so Dagmarette determined that the solution was to design and sew high quality and fashionable maternity wear for them herself. Influenced by the casual, eco-friendly style of sunny California, as well as by the quality and innovation of London tailoring, Dagmarette created a stylish maternity clothing line.

Every aspect of the Damo Momo line, from the fabric to the dyeing and printing process, is made from renewable resources and is environmentally friendly. Damo Momo is manufactured locally in Los Angeles, California.

Dagmarette received her training in Fashion Design and Marketing from the Huron University in London, UK. She graduated in 2008 with a BA in Fine Arts, and a minor in Fashion Design. She has worked for London Fashion Week designer, Roksanda Illicic (2008) and for London’s premiere Public Relations firm, Mandi Lennard Publicity (2009). Her work frequently brought her to Paris and London fashion weeks. In addition to designing Damo Momo, Dagmarette is currently working for Vogue UK, as a fashion assistant.

Ann is the mother of four daughters, one son and ten grandchildren. When her children were young, she filled much of her time as a stay at home mother with sewing stylish clothes for them. She has a BA in Accounting from Cal State Long Beach, and she recently earned a Ph.D. in Gender Studies from Claremont College, She is also a published author with a book out on her experiences driving the Pan American Highway.

I was sent the 'Twinkle, Little Star’ Maternity Shirt'. It has been a nice cool shirt in the Florida heat. It's cool and made of luxuriously soft fabric. Flattering flouncy shirt goes from casual and comfortable by day, to chic and fashionable by night.
