The Ouchies Story

When my daughter turned five, her supply of bandages began to dwindle from all the boo-boo’s that kids get, so I decided to search the aisles of drugstores for some kind of alternative – something cool, something different, something stylish. To my complete surprise, I came home empty handed; only able to offer her one of my horribly, boring beige bandages.
As I stood there in front of her medicine cabinet, I thought to myself, “Why are there no cool bandages?” I felt that change was in order, but it wasn’t until my wife (who is the true inspiration and “umph” behind these products) gave me a nudge and said, “You can do it.” From that point on, I started Ouchies – offering kids an array of adhesive bandages that allow them to show their style and personality. Since that time I have had two more kids, furthering my dedication to giving kids the chance to express themselves through bandages.
So, join me, my wife, my two daughters and son and let the world know that just because you are 5 or 8 or even 11, you can still have style after you have fallen and scraped your knee. Down with beige bandages, baby!

Ouchies come in a style for all your kids!
Have one with attitude?
Or a princess?

Or that creative someone?

There’s only one series of
characters that directly connects to the
personalities and emotions kids
feel every single day, and that’s
Mr. Men & Little Miss.

I was excited when Ouchies wanted to send me a tin of their bandages to review. Ouchies sent me my choice of  Ouchies Bandages to review.  I chose Make your Own.  I chose the  Ouchies Make Your Own because I visioned it being fun for the kids to be creative.  It is also gender neutral, which is a plus.

My favorite things about Ouchies Make Your Own is the creativity it inspires as well as the colorful tin they come in.  The tins do not get smashed like boxes.  And we reuse ours for other things when the Ouchies are emptied.

Ouchies Directions For Use:
"Use bandages to cover real, or imaginary cuts, scrapes, or boo-boos. If you're not pretending, wash cut thoroughly and place Ouchie over affected area. If you simple want to make a fashion statement, but still desire sympathy for being wounded, make a convincing yelp, grab the area that is "hurt" and cover area with Ouchie as quickly as possible. Whether your wound is real, or make-believe, you will look darn cool covering it."
Ouchies was started by a Dad who wanted to offer his daughter more than just a boring bandage. As he said, "Down with beige bandages, baby!". I just love the idea behind Ouchies, to offer an adhesive bandage with personality and style. AsOuchies says, "Hide your wound, not your Style!"
