Completed Curio Cabinet

We have been wanting a curio cabinet but, in the past, could not find one that we liked the finish on. We saw this one at Goodwill and talked them down in price.

We did not like the finish. It was some sort of 80's pale wood tone. However, thanks to finding the great bloggers around here, we have learned how to refinish something that has "good bones".

Hubby took all the glass out and taped up the mirror in the back. He then sanded, primed and painted in a black finish. We only use quality paints. Our paint lately has benn Valspar.

He then reassembled the piece, and, W.O.W.!

He thought he'd be cute and fill it...What do you all think of HIS steins?

It looks really nice. The black updates the piece and sets off the pieces inside.
