DiaperEnvy.com was established in 2009. When we found out that we were expecting, my husband and I started researching the benefits of cloth diapering vs. using disposable diapers. It soon became obvious that cloth diapers, while initially expensive would ultimately be cheaper, healthier for our baby, and better for the environment.

We registered for cloth diapers for our baby shower and were pleasantly surprised that everyone thought it was a great idea and were giving us praise for giving cloth diapering a shot. I was nervous at first that we had made a mistake and that we wouldn't be able to handle using them but, once we started we realized how easy it was to do. My husband and I agreed that cloth diapering was no big deal and we wondered: "Why do so many people think using cloth is so difficult?"

When I tell people that we cloth diaper the first 3 questions they ask me are: "Is it hard?" "What do you do with the poop?" and "How do you wash them?" After answering these questions so many times the wheels in my head began to turn. It was then that DiaperEnvy.com was born.

Together with my husband, we want to spread the word that cloth diapering is no longer the daunting task from the past. Maybe it seems difficult because it's something different but truly, it is just as easy as using disposable diapers. We can assure you that once you get started you will feel the same as we do about cloth diapering.

From our convenient diaper cleaning service using basic prefolds, to our online store specializing in the fanciest of "fluff", we at DiaperEnvy.com have your baby's bottom covered!

Getting Started With Cloth Diapering

In this Section we have developed package deals that will help you get started on your cloth diapering adventure while saving money.

There is a difference between what you "need" and what we "recommend" for parents getting ready to welcome their new bundle of joy into the world.
What you will need to cloth diaper:
1 Diaper Pail - Keep next to changing station.

1 Diaper Pail Liner - Reusable, gets washed with diaper covers.

1 Wet Bag - a must for leaving the house.

24 Cloth Diaper Pre-folds.

2 (minimum) Cloth Diaper Covers.

1 (minimum) Snappi or diaper fastener.

30 (minimum) Flannel Bum Wipes. (Why spend money on disposable wipes! Just launder them with the pre-folds.)

1 Bag of Rockin' Green laundry detergent (does 45 loads in a top loader and 90 in high efficiency machines, most importantly it rinses clean!).

The above list will cover your baby's bottom for 48hours give or take with out running the laundry.

What we Recommend (Our personal set-up, makes life easy!):

1 Diaper Pail

2 Diaper Pail Liner (we use the Bummis XXL size, it fits a weeks worth of dirty diapers. Two is ideal to enable you to rotate the second one in when washing the full liner)

1 Wet Bag (We use the medium size, fits in the diaper bag and holds enough dirty diapers for an 8 hour trip to Grandma's aka "the babysitter" The Large would hold a weekend worth of dirty duds.)

60 Cloth Diaper Pre-folds (allows for 5 - 6 days of diapering before needing to wash)

8 Cloth Diaper Covers (They will get dirty and need to be washed also, we have gone through up to 4 in one day, especially when we were just getting started.)

2 Snappi or diaper Fastener. ("Hey Hun, have you seen the Snappi!?")

60 Flannel Bum Wipes. (Add a wipe warmer and gentle soap solution for extra luxury.)

1 Bag of Rockin' Green laundry detergent.

**Please note**: The 2 styles of diaper covers that come with these packages stagger between the span of overall weight that the package is designed for. The reason for this is to extend the time before you must purchase a larger size, saving you money.

This is a basic package for newborn and preemie babies weighing in between 4 - 13lbs:
I was sent the Osocozy Fitted Cloth Diaper for my review. It is a wonderfully basic and functional fitted diaper. Works well with a variety of diaper covers. Fitted Diapers feature a contoured-form fitting shape, the feel of 100% soft natural birdseye cotton and durable Aplix brand hook and loop closures. Similar in design to the OsoCozy All-In-One Diaper but made to be used with baby pants or diaper covers. Made in bleached, unbleached and organic versions styles and in an unbleached organic. Available in sizes Small to Toddler. The cotton for the organic diapers is grown and harvested according to SKAL International Standards for Sustainable Textile Production. Both the non-organic and organic fitted diapers are sewn in the USA by stay at home moms and grandmas.

I was excited to receive this fitted cloth diaper to try. The Osocozy Fitted Cloth Diaper. They are easy to use, not like the cloth diapers of our mothers. I really liked the adjustable velcro closure. It ran the entire length of the front for easy adjusting. The diaper is very soft and fits nicely on the little man. I was sent the unbleached diaper as seen above, but they also have a bleached version. As far as leak issues, we were okay during the day. Nighttime use did not work for us, however was okay with a diaper cover. I found that the diaper does well in the wash and dries quickly.

DiaperEnvy.com was also kind enough to send us some Classic Rock Laundry Detergent.
* Dye free * Comes in several yummy scents (& an unscented version for sensitive skin) * No fillers * No enzymes or optical brighteners * 100% Phosphate free * Vegan * Great for sensitive skin * Easy rinsing formula * Approved for military use * Works wonders on microfiber stink! * Perfect for cloth diapers * HE compatible * Reusable packaging * Great for all water types * Economical at .13 cents a load!
I highly recommend DiaperEnvy.com for quick, reliable service and great products, especially the OsoCozy Fitted Diaper!
