About Sue Berk Designs:

Sue Berk Designs was founded in the Spring of 2002, by Sue Berk. She does not have any formal training in Art, but always had a love for it.

Sue grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa, and moved with her family to Houston during high school. She has traveled all over the world and lived in Israel for a year during her Junior year of college. After completing her Bachelor's degree at the University of Texas, Sue worked in high tech marketing and product management.

Tired of the corporate world, Sue then renovated houses for 5 years, appearing on The Discovery Channel and in The Dallas Morning News for excellence in home renovation. While renovating houses, Sue did all her own tiling and decided she could make tiles for less than the expensive styles she was buying. She bought a kiln and set about designing and making her own tiles. At this point, Sue fell in love with painting ceramics and started selling crosses, frames, lamps, tea sets, and other ceramic items in some of the most upscale neighborhoods in Dallas, where the company is based. The crosses soon gained in popularity, and Sue Berk Designs was born. Her designs are now sold in over 1000 stores around the country.

Sue lives in Dallas with her husband, Brad Walters, their children Emma, Rachael, and Max, and their 2 cats, Maddie and Max. She still loves to travel and goes to the beach with the whole family whenever she gets the chance!

  

In the past, I have had a hard time locating that something special when shopping for a baptism or christening. It is hard to find something to commemorate the event and find something that is unique and can be treasured for years to come. I was excited to have the opportunity to review Sue Berk Designs as she is known for having the highest quality ceramic crosses.  She has designed both traditional and modern prints for a fabulous keepsake. 

I was sent a beautiful “I am wonderfully made” cross. When this arrived, I was stunned by it's beauty and impressed by the quality of it. 

These hand painted crosses make the perfect gift for Christening, Baptism, Baby Shower, House Warming, or just because. Crosses are approximately 8 inches tall, and include an organza ribbon.

This beautifully designed, hand painted cross would make that extra special gift for a shower or baptism. A great idea would be to purchase one of Sue Berk Designs other wonderful items for in the package and place the cross on the box! They would make a beautiful display in a nursery. I was amazed at how many there were to choose from and so many different sizes.

We were also sent the softest receiving blanket ever! I am sure most of you are familiar with minky dot. This wonderful blanket is made with the super soft minky and trimmed in satin around the front and covers the entire backside. It is also embroidered with  “I am wonderfully made”. The minky receiving blankets come in several different scriptures.

Our receiving blankets are very soft and cozy and are made of minky dot and satin fabrics. They are available in pink or blue and are embroidered with one of 4 scriptures. The blankets measure approximately 28 inches by 33 inches, and each includes an organza ribbon. Blankets are machine washable and dryable.

I love this blanket but the real test was for my little man! Did he like it? He loved it. He cuddles it! 


Sue has a new blanket design coming out and I HAVE to get one! Aren't these just lovely!

Wooden Frames from Sue Berk Designs add the perfect touch to a nursery, or any room in the house! They feature lightly sanded edges, giving them an "aged look" and 3-D add ons. The frames measure 8" X 10" and accomodate a 4" X 6" photo. All paints are lead free.
