DIY Denim Overalls Turned Apron
You know I love a good upcycle, and
this is no different. The way kids go through clothes, it’s awesome to find
tutorials like Jennifer’s over at Foundations (found via Whimsy Couture Sewing Blog). Jennifer turned a basic pair of kid’s overalls into a child’s apron with
just a little effort and some extra fabric to jazz it up. Nice job Jennifer!

Shirt Turned Into a Pillow
Miranda took some of her hubby’s old
shirts and created these stylish pillows. This would make a great upcycle
project repurposing old shirts you may have, or even grabbing some nice ones
from the local thrift store. These would look nice anywhere but I see potential

Burlap Kitchen Bins
Inspired by the
creation of storage bins by other bloggers, Courtney created hers from her moving
boxes to use as storage above her kitchen cabinets. These especially appeal to
me because of their size and the use of burlap. I am needing some of these
myself, so I will be needing to locate some boxes or start saving those diaper

with a useful way to re-purpose/upcycle the tights. And you know I love a good upcycle! She gives a
step-by-step tutorial on how to create a flower using the tights, that would
otherwise be discarded. Once you complete the flower, there are many uses for
the flowers: hair clips, pin to clothing, and home décor.
