Brother P-touch Ambassador Final Review

If you recall, we were chosen to be a Brother P-Touch Ambassador and it has been a few months since we began using the Brother P-Touch labeler that was sent to us for use in our home.

The projects began with the test it challenge in which we were to test the labels under extreme conditions.

For the next issued challenge, we were to organize a room of our home using our labeler.  In this task, we organized our kitchen using the P-Touch. 

The Brother P-Touch was a breeze to use, even for the kids, and has a lot of features that make it THE labeler for your organizational uses. Whether home or business use, it can handles the tasks!

So, as we put the Brother P-Touch labeler through it's tasks,we set out to find out if it really creates durable labels and did they stand up to a husband and children????

As you can see from our photo below, we have a label put through the daily test of use with the husband, children, run through the dishwasher, you name it!

I would say that the labeler stands the test of time going through the rigors of THIS family!

Chef Boyardeelicious!

As a busy mom, I am concerned with saving money and getting a meal on the table after a hard day at work. Anything that can cut my prep time, even by using a pre-made food item, as long as a it’s healthy option, is for me! I especially love one-pot meals that are quick and little mess after a long day of work.
Well, Chef  Boyardee is here to help! Not only do they have recipes to get you started, they are also inspiration for their contest! They are giving away groceries for a year as the prize in a recipe contest called Make it Boyardeelicious. Chef  Boyardee fans are invited to submit their own original recipe for a chance to win $500 plus $75 in Chef  Boyardee coupons. Then, at the end of the 10-week campaign, one of the weekly winners will be chosen as the grand prize winner to win a year’s worth of groceries!
To enter, start by visiting and ‘like’ their Chef Boyardee Facebook page, then upload a photo of the finished product of the recipe you created (using Chef Boyardee products).
To help inspire Chef Boyardee fans to enter the contest, they have asked a few of us bloggers  to host a get together using a Chef Boyardee recipe using their products or to create our own recipe using their products. At our little get together, we had 5 adults  and 3 children, enough to get a good viewpoint on the recipe. Hubby and I decided on the Ravioli Lasagna. 

RAVIOLI LASAGNA

INGREDIENTS

• PAM® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray
• 1 cup frozen loose cut leaf spinach
• 2 cans (15 oz each) Chef Boyardee® Beef Ravioli
• 1 can (14.5 oz each) Hunt's® Diced Tomatoes, drained well
• 1-1/2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning
• 1 cup 1% low-fat cottage cheese
• 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
• 1 cup shredded Italian blend cheese

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray 8x8-inch glass baking dish with cooking spray. Place spinach in microwave-safe bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and microwave on HIGH 2 minutes; squeeze spinach dry.
2. Combine ravioli, drained tomatoes and Italian seasoning in medium microwave-safe bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and microwave on HIGH 3 to 4 minutes or until mixture is hot. Combine cottage cheese, spinach and black pepper in small bowl.
3. Place half of ravioli mixture in bottom of baking dish. Top with half of cottage cheese mixture and 1/2 cup shredded cheese. Repeat layers. Bake 15 minutes or until cheese is hot and bubbly.

To help us in the preparation of our get together, they Chef sent us a few supplies. Our package included: a nice set of colorful nesting bowls, Le Creuset bakeware, an adorable Kids Curious Chef baking set, a Chef Boyardee chef’s hat, adult and child’s apron, an insulated lunch bag, recipe cards, coupons, and several note pads. Awesome, huh?!!!

Johnson’s Naturals Review

As a mom, we always look for the best in products. When you think of baby shampoo and the like, what’s the name that first enters your mind? Ahhh, yes…Johnsons. And with their experience, over 100 years of experience, Johnson’s Baby is a name moms are familiar with. Now, after listening to moms’ concerns, they  have a new product line called Johnson’s Naturals.

While I would not say that we use a lot of natural or organic products, I am, however, constantly looking for more natural and better products for my kids. And it seems new products come out on a weekly basis. The time and money spent to test the new products takes about as much time as it does to raise the kids themselves.

As soon as I received the Johnson’s Natural products in the box from Mom Central, I immediately opened it and went to smell. Not sure why, but both hubby and I are product smellers. It wasn’t bath time as yet so I went about testing the baby lotion first. It takes just a dab to go a long way. Each of the kids’ skin was soft and had no dry patches.
When it was bath time, again there were no issues. I am lucky because my kids don’t mind their baths nor good soaps. They all allowed me to wash them wit the head-to-toe foaming baby wash with no issues. They all smelled wonderful,too!
You can get Johnson’s Natural Baby products at mass retailers and, if you know Johnson’s, you know they are very affordable.  Did you also know that Johnson’s just won the Better Homes and Gardens Best New Product Award for 2012? Another name we know and trust that further strengthens what we already know about Johnson’s! 
So, what do I say? I found a great product line for my kids’. Johnson’s is a name I already know and trust, it’s natural and the kids liked it. I would recommend it to all of my readers.
